TaskArmy is an online outsourcing venue where professionals can post their freelancing services and set their own fees for their work.
Clients looking to outsource can browse through the posted services and select from available specialists in areas such as web design and development, web marketing, data entry, copywriting, and translation.
There are no requirements or qualifications needed to become a freelancer at TaskArmy. You can be of any age and come from anywhere in the world.
Joining TaskArmy as a freelancer is fast, simple and free. Just sign up on the website with a username, password, and e-mail address and you’re ready to list your service.
Think of something useful you can offer to TaskArmy clients. Be creative! TaskArmy offers services in categories like copywriting, translation, web design and development, social marketing, and data entry.
You’ll have to think of a short, but descriptive title for your service. Next, describe your service. Try to write at least 200 words explaining in detail what the task you’re offering is all about. Use this opportunity to think of and answer any questions clients might have about your service.
The next few sections are optional, but definitely recommended. First, you’ll be asked to enter some related skills. This helps to promote your task in the “related services” section that shows up when clients are browsing for freelancers.
Second, you’ll be asked to list the deliverables that clients will receive as well as the things that the service doesn’t include. This ensures clear communication so that the client knows exactly what your service entails.
You also have the option to describe some of your past experiences. People need to trust that you are good at what you’re offering. Take the opportunity to tell them more about your experience and provide links to work you’ve done in the past.
Finish your service listing by selecting your service category, determining your price and submitting it for approval. Your submission will be reviewed before it appears on the website. TaskArmy reports that, on average, 1 out of 5 submissions gets refused because it contains too many typos or because it looks plain dodgy. Be sure to proofread!
You’ll be sent e-mail confirmation once your service is up and running.
As a freelancer, you earn money only when clients order your service. All contact with clients occurs anonymously through the TaskArmy e-mail system. This is where you will be notified if you have an order. You only have 24 hours to accept orders, so make sure you’re checking your account frequently.
To increase your orders, make sure your service listing is as detailed and attractive as possible. Also, be sure to include all relevant qualifications and work experience so that clients can see how credible you are.
When you are given an order, contact the client to ask any necessary information and complete the task by an agreed deadline. When you’re finished, send your work to the client.
