Getting Started

Those interested in working for OfficeTeam first need to create an online profile on the company’s website. You can do this in no time by following a simple 3 step process.

First, submit your resume. OfficeTeam gives you several ways to do this: either upload your resume from your files, import it from your LinkedIn profile or copy and paste it directly.

Second, you need to create your account. Simply choose a username and password and fill in some routine information, like your name, e-mail address and phone number.

Step 3 asks to create a security question and answer to ensure safety and confidentiality. That’s it!

Now that your profile is complete, you’re ready to begin browsing the thousands of temporary opportunities that OfficeTeam has to offer. The company makes this really easy for you. You’re able to apply to jobs directly on the OfficeTeam website. You can submit your application for multiple jobs at the same time or you could save jobs to apply for at a later time.

Once you have registered as a member and applied for a position, one of OfficeTeam’s staffing managers will contact you as soon as possible in order to discuss your skills and experience. The process will involve: an in-person interview, a skills evaluation and a reference check.

This appointment should be treated as an interview, so make sure that you act and appear professionally. Also remember to provide the names and contact information of at least 3 previous employment references in addition to a couple extra copies of your resume.

The skills test portion ensures that you will be placed in an interesting and challenging position that is appropriate for your skill level. OfficeTeam wants to make sure that you’ll enjoy your job.

In order to test your preparedness, you may be asked to take skills evaluations in typing as well as the following software applications: Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint and Intuit QuickBooks.

Earning Money

All positions are different and so it is difficult to say what you will be doing exactly. However, most of the jobs that OfficeTeam offers are in the administrative assistance industry. Common tasks include: customer service, data entry, file and record maintenance, and office management.

Most of the positions available at OfficeTeam are flexible and short-term assignments. This is great for people who like to experience change, a variety of environments and are looking to gain an assortment of experiences. However, if you do find the right position, you can always work toward transforming it into a permanent position.
