Getting Started

Signing up as a NSS mystery shopper is 100% free. Mystery shoppers never have, nor will they ever have to pay a fee in order to get work. NSS covers all expenses included in locating, screening, training and developing their mystery shoppers.

Getting started as a mystery shopper at NSS is easy! All you have to do is complete the general information questions on the online application. These questions mostly pertain to your location, contact information and where you are available to shop. Shortly after you submit your application, an activation email will be sent to you. In this email, you’ll find a confirmation link. A simple click on the link activates you as an NSS mystery shopper. It’s that easy!

Once you’re an active shopper, you can begin shopping around for assignments. There are two ways you can check for open assignments in your area. You can search for open prospects by logging onto the NSS website or you can call them directly and one of the NSS schedulers will be glad to tell you what’s available.

A scheduler for your area may also contact you via email or phone once something becomes available in your area. NSS is always growing so if there isn’t anything available right away, surely an opportunity will come along shortly.

NSS has an assortment of shopping assignments in all industries ranging from department stores and retail to convenience stores, banks, hotels and airlines. NSS doesn’t force their clients to fit a generic mould. Instead, they custom design all of their mystery shopping and market research solutions in order to fit the specific needs of each client. For this reason, you will be asked to assess a variety of factors on your shopping assignments.
