LanguageSpirit

Language Spirit is dedicated to providing the best online language training to students around the world. The company’s online tutors come from a variety of countries and are able to provide students with expert lessons in virtually every language!

English, French, Spanish, Russian, Italian or Thai – it doesn’t matter what language you speak, you can be a professional teacher with Language Spirit! Continue reading to find out if you have what it takes.

Getting Started

Language Spirit asks that you have at least 2 years experience in a teaching or tutoring role to apply. The company also requires that you own some technical equipment to tutor with them. Since students span across the globe, you’ll need to meet a few technical requirements in order to connect with them. Not to worry – you probably have many of the items in your home already. In addition to a private and quite space, you’ll need an up to date PC, a headset, webcam and Skype. Voila! You’re home office is complete.

If you meet the above requirements (and you’re a patient, kind person who’s great at guiding and inspiring others), Language Spirit invites you to join their team!

The first step to becoming a qualified online tutor is to complete the application available on the Language Spirit website. The application contains a brief personality test as well as a personal information form you will need to complete detailing your contact information, previous work experience, education and all your impressive qualifications.

Next you’ll be asked to attend an interview, but it won’t be the kind of face-to-face interview you’re probably used to. Actually, you won’t have to travel at all. Language Spirit’s online tutors come from all over the planet so it would be impossible to meet all of them in person. Instead, the company conducts interviews online via Skype so that they can find out more about you and what you can do for Language Spirit students.

Once you ace your first interview, you’ll be asked to attend a second round of interviews. Tutoring is serious business and Language Spirit wants to make sure that they only hire the best of the best. The second interview will take the form of a mock tutoring session. This is so the company can see you in action. You will be asked to prepare a trial lesson and provide an evaluation report to your “student” during the interview.

As soon as you wow the hiring managers with your second interview – congratulations! You’re hired. Now you can move on to training where you’ll learn about the company’s teaching procedures and how to use Language Spirit software.

Earning Money

Language Spirit will assign students to you based on the language they want to learn and your availability. You don’t have to worry about creating a showy profile or spending time building rave reviews in order to get students. The company takes care of that for you. Language Spirit will bring students right to you.

Once you receive a new student’s contact details and language goals, you will have him or her complete a language test. This will help you prepare the right level of material for your tutoring sessions. After the testing process, you can begin writing a fun and customized course plan for them and start the one-on-one tutoring sessions as soon as possible! Easy, right?
