Remote sales professionals are a unique breed. They’re motivated, dedicated and results-driven people. They have an outgoing personality, a take-charge attitude and a passion for sales and lead generation. Does this sound like you?
In order to be a home-based sales agent, previous work experience in sales and customer service is a plus (although not needed). Any previous experience with cold calling and telemarketing is also a great advantage.
You’ll also have to be able to make a time commitment. Most companies require you to be available for a minimum of 20 hours per week between regular business hours. If you’re looking for full time work, 40 hour weeks are also available. The choice is yours!
Being an at-home sales agent means that you’ll also need a home office. Most remote sales companies ask that your new digs include: a computer, an Internet connection, a telephone, headset, unlimited long-distance calling plan and big screen TV. Just kidding about that last one (kind of).
