GoFluent is an international English language training company focused on the needs of business and corporate professionals whose first language is not English. The company employs English language tutors who provide remote instruction from their home offices to clients around the world. The training curriculum emphasizes business, multicultural and international content that is of particular interest to this clientele.
Previous training, corporate experience, interest in other cultures and the ability to converse about international and business topics are all assets. In the U.S., goFluent currently seeks native English speakers in Kansas, Missouri, New York and Pennsylvania. In Canada, the company is looking for native French and English speakers with bilingual skills in Italian, Russian, German or Japanese. Trainers are required to work at least four hours per day, five days per week between midnight and 5 p.m. in Pennsylvania, New York and Canada. In Missouri and Kansas, available hours are between 11 p.m. to 4 p.m. Trainers need high-speed Internet access, a PC with Windows XP or higher, a landline phone service and a quiet home workspace.
The company does not disclose its compensation rate, but other sources suggest that the pay is competitive and comparable to other good language tutoring jobs.
