Blue Zebra clients then meet with these qualified appointments in hopes of acquiring new clients. Blue Zebra asks that you have at least 2 years experience in a B2B sales environment as well as knowledge of Customer Relationship Management (CRM) or Contact Management software such as ACT, Goldmine and SalesForce. Any previous outbound or cold calling experience helps out a lot too.
A home office is a must. Your new digs should be equipped with a printer, Internet connection and an updated computer with Microsoft Word and Excel. A large, comfy leather chair would be a nice touch, too.
Blue Zebra recognizes that you’re a busy person and this is why they give you the choice to work part-time or full-time hours. Regular hours are 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM EST, Monday to Friday. During these hours, you can choose to be available for 4, 6 or 8 hours per day. This leaves space for personal commitments and sunny vacations. (Additional hours are also available for those who want to go above and beyond.)
Once you’ve determined that you have what it takes, head over to the Blue Zebra website and download the applicant questionnaire. This is a short survey which asks questions about your previous work experience and knowledge of various software and programs. As soon as you’re hired you’ll be assigned a client. First things first: you need to understand your client’s business. Of course, only once you’re familiar with the business can you begin prospecting for sales leads. You will attend training to learn the ins and outs of your client’s market, sales strategies and the various products and services they offer.
