ACD Direct provides virtual call center services focused on meeting the needs of nonprofit organizations such as public radio and television stations. Listed services include inbound and outbound calling, data entry, mail order processing, and technical support, but emphasis is on inbound call processing for fundraising drives. Note that Spanish and French services are also offered. ACD Direct hires work-from-home agents to meet its staffing needs and adjusts the size of its workforce seasonally according to call volume. Agents can choose from available shifts; some time slots have more earning potential than others and fill up quickly.
All applicants must agree to and pay for a criminal background check. Previous related experience is an asset. Agents must be based in the United States, but ACD Direct does not hire residents of Delaware, Massachusetts, Louisiana, West Virginia, Wyoming, Vermont or South Dakota. Applicants should ensure they comply with ACD Direct’s PC, phone and office space specifications.
Call center agents are independent contractors and are paid by the minute for actual talk time. Compensation ranges from 23 to 35 cents per minute depending on bonuses and incentives. Agents are paid monthly and must submit an invoice for each pay period.
